Hello dear, today I am extending an invitation to you. An invitation to take a close look at yourself. A probing look at what is important to you. What would your life be like if you were doing the exact thing that would make you completely relevant? Is there any aspect of your life that will be left behind if you decide to give a deep expression of your true potential? Are there things you hold dear to which from all indications will not allow the realization of your dream? By the way, what is your dream in life? Are you ready to do all it takes to express your true self? This is exactly what we are looking at in this series. Please note that this work could be hazardous to your status quo. But if you are truly ready for a change for the best, then read on.

The complex nature of modern life today calls for passion for excellence and focus on what we hold dear. Do you know that whatever you pay attention to is what is important to you? It is actually what you value. Every thought that enters into your life is but a material expression of some belief in your mind – a value you stand for. Here is an example: In walking round a shopping mall, my hand reached out and autonomously picked up a box of chocolate candy. I desire to live healthy and I have been making effort to stay away from sugary food substance, but the appeal was irresistible. At this point what do I actually value? My health of course, must be very essential to maximizing my individuality. Your values are not things you can lie about. In most cases, they are planted deep in our sub consciousness and shows up without prior notice or warning. The reason there are lots of chaos and friction around most people today is fear of change – a change of what is limiting them. There are those who are just too comfortable with struggles. It is indeed a sad commentary on human nature.

Living true to yourself begins with an awareness that there is a powerful force inside of you. A power to be ready to make changes as it is necessary per times. Change brings growth and re-enforces strength and focus. These changes may be difficult, even painful at times but it leaves you better that it met you. Do you agree that there is smoothness about life which everyone consciously or unconsciously subscribes to? I do not mean guesswork in any of its form. It makes you feel good about yourself on all fronts unconditionally. The fact is that it has always been there. Hear this; it takes a deep seated acceptance to acknowledge that you are here on earth simply for the purpose of adding value to life. A sense of value is the moral base for a dream society. Once this is established, everything else in your life becomes just things to be taken care of.

There are heights we get to in our quest to live our lives to maximum that a pause becomes very necessary. This is when the authenticity of what we stand for is being questioned. I call it the “ultimate defense”. It often marks our greatest discovery about ourselves. If someone walks up to you and say, “You will be permitted to live only if you express your true values” What will your response be? Are your values things you are ready to hold unto no matter what comes your way? Sigmund Freud said “being entirely honest with oneself is a good exercise” It is the hallmark of a life that will leave a lasting legacy for posterity. If you are perhaps ignoring the values that would set you on the path of sound success, then part of your life is busy wasting away. You cannot live a life worthy of emulation without a willingness to walk the road path of adding value to humanity and yourself.

What is value? I believe that whatever that adds to the convenience and desirability of living to any individual or group is a value. A value statement is a summary of what you stand for in simple words. What are your values? What do you stand for? Mind you, if you don’t stand for anything, it’s certain that you’ll fall for everything. Itemizing your values is a major step in becoming all that you are created to be. A long chain of inter-dependence is the pivot upon which the continuity of human existence lies. Where do you find yourself in the chain? You might as well become indispensable in nature’s assembly line. The element of your life that speaks for you when you are not there is your value. Nelson Mandela of South African went to prison to remain true to his values for total freedom of every human, whites or blacks and his hatred for injustice and slavery of his country men. Edmund Hillary after several failed attempt, succeeded in climbing Mount Everest in 1953 to give a voice to his values of determination, confidence and eye for success at any cost.

However, every human can be referred to as a creature built to last, but how many of us are ready and willing to harness the rich deposit within us. As you read these lines, I want to ask whether you are truly ready to give all it takes to become the best you are destined to be. I challenge you today to become an authority on something. It all begins with what you value. An indifferent approach to life will as well take you somewhere – deeper into regression. In a bid to seek other peoples’ approval, most individuals end up lowering their standards. A wise man said “when you base your life on principles, 99% of your decisions are already made. At Dream Seed International, we are desirous of creating an eternal enmity between you and mediocrities, turning your focus to the path of excellence by helping you discover who you are and much more who you can become. All you need is to make a decision now. A decision to step out and be counted amongst the men and women who will leave their footprint in the sand of time.

Success is rated by what you accomplished, not what you started. Therefore, it is not enough to confess your values, more importantly, live true to them. We cannot get to where we are going by staying at one spot. The time to move is now. Let go of things you have been clinging unto, the so called comfort and luxury and make room for a brand new experience. You will get there. Live true to yourself!
